Machinex Show A Success |
|
There was a great turn out over the two day event with dry cleaners attending from as far away as Indianapolis, Northern Kentucky, Dayton and New York State. Attendees had a chance to see new developments in dry cleaning equipment and try it out for themselves. The Sankosha finishing equipment including the KMP-860u Double Legger and the DF-550 Multi Garment Finisher were very popular along with the PS-290 Automatic Bagger. The Columbia Ipura Hybrid Dry Cleaning Machine drew a lot of interest and questions about how it could save money in greatly reduced energy consumption and its environmentally friendly cleaning process. As a result of the show, we will have a new installation in the area where we can gather specific performance and cleaning ability data. Presentations on Steam Traps, Laundry Chemistry and Alternative Dry Cleaning were popular and there was great exchange between cleaners and Irene Hart of the EPA as she discussed the new regulations regarding perchloroethylene usage and perc leak detectors. She provided calendars to attendees that help dry cleaners keep up to date with reporting and monitoring their equipment.
